Working at LFBe and the Non-Executive Director (Finance) [NED-F] role:
LFBe engages a wide variety of talented people in their respective fields and welcomes diversity and new perspectives. The Board has agreed that the addition of this role will further strengthen the Board.
The addition of an independent thinking and committed NED with particular finance expertise is vital to assist the Board to achieve its aims and the appointment will be for 3 years with a significant frontloading of effort to help to develop the strengths of the company for the challenges that lie ahead.
In summary the duties of the NED-F will include involvement in all financial aspects of the Board’s responsibilities covering compliance, pursuit of the company’s objectives, evaluation of performance, provision of frank and robust advice during Board discussions including modernisation and streamlining approaches to both operational and financial management within the business.
Candidates must be Chartered Accountants, ACCA or CIMA fully qualified and will ideally have experience of working within a small company or group of companies at Board or immediately sub-Board level. Additionally the successful candidate will be in a position to be able to combine the ad hoc requirements of the role with his/her current role or other commitments.
The NED-F will need to demonstrate direct senior level experience of audit, scrutiny of annual accounts, management reporting, risk management, budgets, compliance, authorisation of contracts and major expenditure, banking and investment relationships.
