A Management Accountant job in Chesterfield on a 12 month FTC with a logistics company paying c.£30,000

Your new company
You will join a specialist Management Accounts team within a large national company reporting into the Finance manager for a particular division. This role is a 12 month fixed term contract paying c.£30,000. You will join an established and experienced team so experience is necessary. Your new company has an excellent reputation in its market and is continuously looking to improve their service to customers and internal processes.

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will join a team in which you will work alongside three colleagues specialising on a particular area of the business. Your new role will be more analytical than the typical Management Accountant job. You will produce management reports and thorough analysis to support them, whilst providing an operational insight into the performance of the business. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Production of high quality, timely and accurate financial and management reporting.
  • Maintain high standards of the reporting process with customers, prioritising key areas and driving continuous improvement
  • Purchase order requisition approval.
  • Ad-hoc analysis and problem solving as required by the business.
  • Ad-hoc invoice and credit note requests
  • Controlled and efficient ledger management,
  • Cost and profit analysis and correct allocations,
  • Ad-hoc report generation and financial period ends.
  • Provide support for all audit requirements.



What you'll need to succeed
You must have a sound working knowledge of financial and management accounting and the relevant principles. To be successful you should have experience in a similar position with an analytical mindset with a proven track record to demonstrate your abilities. Experience in a commercial finance environment, preferably within logistics would be desirable. You should have worked with both internal and external stakeholders and be able to deliver reports at all levels within the business. A Financial Qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA is desirable but not essential. You may be a stopped studier, part qualified or newly qualified to be considered.
